SwipeBaito ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("SwipeBaito").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application includes:

• Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, phone number, and student verification status, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the Application.
• Geolocation Data: We request access or permission to and track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using the Application, to provide localized job matching (Back-of-House shifts near your location).
• Financial Data: Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) is collected and processed entirely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full financial or credit card information on our servers.
• Device Data: Device information, such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer, and information about the location of your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you allows us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:

• Create and manage your user account.
• Match job seekers (students) with employers (restaurants) based on proximity and ratings.
• Process payments, payouts, and application fees via Stripe Connect.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Application.
• Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity (such as shift no-shows or payment evasion).

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

• Between Users: To facilitate shift completion, the student's name and rating may be shared with the restaurant employer, and the restaurant's details will be shared with the student worker.
• Third-Party Service Providers: We share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe) and cloud infrastructure/database hosting (Google Firebase).

4. Data Security and Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures provided by Google Firebase and Stripe to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

We retain user data for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with local tax, labor, and legal obligations in Quebec, Canada.

5. Compliance with International Student Regulations

For student visa holders, SwipeBaito tracks and displays work hours within the platform to help users comply with federal work hour limitations. However, users are ultimately responsible for managing their legal employment terms.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed of updates.
